Busy!

Hey everyone!
I'm really excited about everything going on. God has really been blessing my buisness. I'm enjoying photographing more than ever!

Here's a few shots from a couple engagement sessions I did in the last couple weeks! Congrats so Nick & LJ and Joshua & Mandy!

Finally!!! My newest Lens is here! Canon 24-70 2.8L USM. I've had it only a few hours since picking it up at the post office this afternoon and I already taken over 300 frames on it. (I photographed a football game for work). Here's one of the shots from my back yard. Photos from New York trip this weekend and Mobile Alabama the weekend before.

I'm also photographing Joshua & Mandy's engagement photos this weekend. Very excited for them!

Hush...!

Hey everyone!

Good day today! Work was fine. I photographed at the same school I had my first experience on the camera last year. It's been one full year since I quite Lowes and started working at Lifetouch and I'm loving it. I've learned so much and grown a lot as a photographer and a person.

This evening I photographed my good friends Sammie Jo and Brooks! SJ is 8 months pregnant and I got to do some baby belly photos for them. Very cute. First time experience for me. Britt is always a big help coming up with ideas. Needless to say I'm very excited about the photos and hopefully will be posting some of those very soon!

Last night Britt, Amanda and I went to Greene Street to see The Hush Sound, The Cap, Steel Train and The Morning Light. Very good show. First time I have been to Greene St and I love the venue. Favorites were The Hush Sound and The Morning Light. However they wouldn't let me in the door with my camera... too "professional." Oh well! I'd really love to do some promo or live shots for a bigger band. That'd be really cool.

Alex and Lydia's wedding was great. Brittany and I had a lot of fun and the wedding was beautiful! It was great to see a lot of our friends as well.

Today was lazy. But well needed. Last week was busy and next week is looking to be pretty busy as well. Alex and Lydia's Wedding is coming up on the 2nd. Brittany and I are very excited about that

Brittany and I have been eating good. Britt cooked salmon and some great pasta earlier this week.

4th with friends. Hamburgers, hot dogs, the water volleyball in the pool. Firework got rained out.

Michigan Or Bust!!!

Our trip to Michigan was wrapped up great. Got to see a lot of friends and family.

On Saturday Britt and I headed for Grand Rapids to photograph one of GR's awesome local bands Birds On A Wire. My brother just happens to play for the band. Got to hang out with the Nicki White, Stephen Pell, and the rest of the guys. Down by the Grand, then to chili's then back to the guys apt for more shots.

Britt and I left that night and drove to Fort Wayne, Indy. Stayed the night and began our very "happening" journey home.
Dayton: about 2pm a family in a Ford F-150 pulls out right in front of me causing me to rear-end him. Whiplash, Full police report and many phone calls later back on the road with a very crumpled front end. About 7 hours of driving left. About 30 miles outside of Dayton my front drivers side tire gives way. Broken tire jack and the kindness of a stranger with a rat-tale and we barely roll the neon into walmart. $63 for a new tire and we finally finish the rest of the trip home at 1am. Wheh

I now am driving a rental. Which somehow today had a flat?! Sr ports are going great so far... a lot to learn. Very tired.

I'm very excited about Jennifer's wedding this weekend! I get to use my new Speedlite 430ex!

All and all a awesome trip. Photos from the trip to come for some reason my laptop doesn't want to work...

The Rain!

"It's been raining for days"
The grass is finally turning green here. I love the aura that rain gives. It's always so peaceful!

The Wind!

Took Liz out on the beach for a quick little photoshoot. The wind was so strong my light kept trying to tip over.

My family drove down from Michigan yesterday. Headed for the beach at Nags Head for Easter.
Took this new shot of Josh yesterday in your living room just messing around.

Early Mornings

Yesterday Started 3:30. 2.5 hour drive to the mountains, through flurrys and wind to get to work. Only to arrive and find out the school was on a 2 hour delay... nap time!

Back Greensboro and than to a couple High school sports games. The last soccer game was intense. Very heated crowd to say the least.




Britt wrote a real sweet post about me on her xanga. I have just got to say I love that girl!

I experimented with some lights the other night. Here's a fairly lame one...





I'm shooting a wedding this Saturday. I'm pretty excited because it will be my first real wedding I've done. Britt is going to help me photograph so that will be a lot of fun and the Couple is really nice. It was quite a last minute booking. We met with them only 2 weeks before there wedding.

Last night I realized my New Year's resolution... I vow to eat more Oatmeal Cream Pies!


Roads are slick today. I drove Britt to school so she didn't have to drive in the ice. Drive safe!

Firewood

No work today. Gave Plasma and came home to help my lovely wife Britt with supper and dishes. Maybe to Lowes to get some stuff for a home project.

Finally beat Slash on Hard on Guitar Hero III. 33/44 songs on Hard...
